Many teenagers are throwing out the L word all willy nilly like it has no true meaning anymore. No I'm not talking about lesbians. Personally i think love is meant for those over the age of 17 and have actually been through some ups and downs that are worth mentioning. To kids that think your in love, you're highly mistaken. Trust me, if you have a boyfriend yeah it may be all fun and games right now but that's only because to him you're whats hot at that moment. He may say he loves you and he's never felt like this about anyone else before but its not sincere. Some say these things because they feel obligated to because of how you feel or even just because they're with you and it seems like the right thing to say. Others say this to be manipulative and get you emotionally attached so that when they do screw up it won't matter because they've already got you on a very tight leash. Also I'm sick and tired of seeing girls just give their heart to anyone who says a few nice words to them. Boys aren't looking for a long term relationship or to fall in love with you they just want to have a good time so girls you should do the same. That's what makes this whole boyfriend girlfriend thing so messed up. People don't understand that you're supposed to really get to know somebody before you become exclusive. And you don't ask somebody do you want to go out with me or be my girlfriend / boyfriend. It's just something you feel in your heart. Your supposed to feel like you don't want to be with anybody else and you're 100% positive about that. Then you go and confront the other person and tell them how you're feeling and see if they feel the same. If not, then you just give it more time. You don't just rush into a relationship and see how things go. You're still young and have some growing up to do. You don't need to rush into anything. But that doesn't mean you ignore what you're heart is telling you. Love is tricky and there is no right way to do it. But you can be smart about it.
So you tell me... is love real?
